Indicative price in Thailand
$1,200 – 2,500 (both eyes)

Femtosecond (bladeless) LASIK at the top of the range; PRK below it, ICL implants well above — the candidacy work-up decides which applies to you.

The same femtosecond LASIK is commonly quoted at €2,500–4,000 in Western Europe and more in the US — Thai eye hospitals deliver both eyes for roughly the price of one.

Indicative market range for Thailand — your final quote always comes in writing from the treating clinic, after medical assessment.

What decides the price

Three factors: the technology platform (femtosecond vs microkeratome), your prescription complexity, and the hospital. Quotes at our partner level are all-inclusive for the surgical episode — work-up, both eyes, post-op checks and drops.

Recovery

Most patients see clearly within 24–48 hours and work on screens within days. Dry-eye sensation for some weeks is the most common side effect — temporary and managed with drops.

A typical clinic quote includes

  • Complete candidacy examination
  • The procedure, both eyes
  • Post-operative checks during your stay
  • Medication and drops
  • Written surgical record for your home ophthalmologist

Not included

  • ·Flights and hotel (unless in your package)
  • ·Enhancement procedures if ever needed (policy stated per clinic)

Vision check — most patients already see clearly.
Days 5–6
Final check & clearance
Follow-up examination, drops schedule, clearance to fly.

Common questions

Why is Thai LASIK so much cheaper — is the technology older? +

No: the specialised Bangkok eye hospitals run current-generation femtosecond and excimer platforms. The saving comes from Thai cost structures — and it is precisely why we name the hospital, so you can verify the equipment yourself.

What if the work-up says I am not a candidate? +

Then you do not have surgery — around one in five patients is redirected to PRK, ICL or no surgery at all. You will have paid for an examination, not an operation; we think that is how it should work.

How soon can I fly home? +

LASIK patients are typically cleared at the final check a few days after surgery. Our stay plans include that margin rather than promising a 48-hour turnaround.
